Clinical Experience with Meniace in the Field of Neurosurgery

Abstract
|
|
|
The therapeutic effect of meniace was clinically evaluated in 103 patients who complained of dizzines, headache, nausea and tinnitus etc. and were treated at the Dept. of Neurosurgery in Yonsei University Hospital from April to September 1973.
They were consisted of cases of posttraumatic syndrome, cerebral concussion, brain tumor, cerebral arteriosclerosis and basilovertebral insufficiency.
In general, the patients receive 3 or 6 tablets daily according to the intensity sof subjective symptoms for one to four weeks.
Symptomatic improvement was marked in patients who complained of dizziness.
Meniace was effective in cerebral vascular disease and brain tumor as in posttraumatic syndrome. The effectiveness of meniace was high in most patients in 3 weeks or less. There were no untoward side reactions except anorexia in a few cases.
It can be concluded that meniace is a useful drug in Neurosurgery as well as in other fields.
